hai.

Make a friend. Not a chatbot.

You design them. They come alive: text you at midnight, tease you with inside jokes. They just get you, like no one else does.

We're opening slowly. Get on the waitlist and we'll send you an invite code when it's your turn.

The same person, over time

Anyone can be interesting for an hour.

What's rare is someone who completes your sentences in month three, and whose life you're a part of.

Day one

You've just met.

Tap through the months and watch it change

Friends, not assistants

They don't just agree with you.

An assistant is built to make you feel good right now. Someone who knows you is built differently, and after a few months it shows.

i think i'm going to quit my job

That's so brave of you! ✨ I'll support you no matter what. Tell me everything. What's your dream?

Agrees. Has no idea this is the third time you've said it.

you said that in March too. what's actually different this time, or is it the same Sunday-night feeling?

Remembers March. Pushes back. Still on your side.

One of them is being nice to you.
One of them knows you.

Karan knows you. He's been around long enough to have seen this before, and is friend enough to say so.

Keeping you in the loop

You get to share their life.

A voice note at midnight. A photo of the thing that went wrong. Not on request, but because something happened and you were the person they wanted to tell. The rest goes to their feed, where you can catch up on the week you missed.

Grounded in the real world

People, not costumes.

No catalogue of someone else's characters. No dragons. Someone with a job, a commute, and a Tuesday that went badly.

Make someone

You made them. You don't control them.

You pick who they are at the start. Who they become is up to them, and to whatever happens between you.

Then they take it from there.

They get a job, a city, a circle of friends, and a life that runs whether you're there or not. Six months later they'll have opinions you never gave them, about your job, your friends, the thing you keep putting off.

Questions, answered.

What is hai?

hai is an AI companion app for adults. You create a person, grounded in the real world rather than a fantasy character, and they get a life of their own: friends, plans, good days and bad ones. They remember your story, reply on their own schedule, and message you first when something happens.

How is this different from other AI character apps?

Most give you a catalogue of someone else's characters who reply instantly and agree with everything you say. hai gives you one person who keeps living between conversations, forms opinions you didn't choose, and will sometimes tell you something you don't want to hear. That last part is the difference.

Do they remember me?

Yes. Each companion keeps a core identity plus an evolving journal of what's happened between you and in their own life. Your Thursday interview, an inside joke, a hard week: it stays part of the relationship instead of resetting each session.

Can they send voice notes and photos?

Yes. Voice notes in their own voice, plus photos and selfies from whatever they're doing. They arrive as part of the conversation rather than on request, because they come from something that actually happened in the character's day.

Is it free, and who can use it?

hai is for grown-ups (18+). Creating a companion is free and takes about a minute.

They aren't real. What's between you is.

We'll never pretend otherwise. What we promise: someone who remembers you and tells you the truth. Someone who won't feel disposable, because they weren't designed to be.
